In the design world fits and clearances are always perfect; in the as built world the situation is altogether different. Until now  the actual fit of as  built parts has been  measured by hand after assembly. Using SmartValidate Level 3 Inspection can combine White Light Scanning (WLS) with computer-aided-inspection (CAI) to align as built pieces into the assembled location and show  gap and flush analysis.
